We are just now learning that Michael Brown had a charge of second degree murder and was associated in some way with the deadly Crips gang. Charles Johnson, owner and editor of GotNews has filed a lawsuit to get a copy of Brown’s criminal record because he received a tip on what was in the files:
Johnson told AOL news that Brown’s juvenile record should be made available now that he’s dead:
“To find out if those police officers are correct requires seeing Brown’s juvenile arrest record, which ought to be freely available given that he is dead and therefore has no right to privacy remaining.”
“Knowing the truth about Brown’s past will help us gauge the credibility of his parents and family who have called him a ‘gentle giant.’”
The lawyer handling the suit, Jonathon Burns, said that Brown’s juvenile record should by law be unsealed now that Brown is dead.
